EBMX Competition Jackshaft for Ultra Bee

$275.00

Competition use jackshaft developed in house by EBMX and used in E-Xplorer and global race events.

The original Ultra Bee jackshaft was never intended for 50 plus KW, 90 foot jumps and aggressive off road riding. Once you have to ditch the belt due to increased power and required reliability, the original jackshaft starts to fail, from snapping secondary sprocket bolts on landings and completely ovaling the entire body where the bearings fall out. It was clear to EBMX a high powered jackshaft needed to be designed.

Solid steel replaces the aluminium body now keeping the bearings in place and adding over all strength. We have made the total diameter larger and eight hybrid bearings replace the original four roller bearings. To remove the issue of constant shearing of the 12.9 grade bolts on the secondary side we upgraded to spline and sprocket, alleviating this issue altogether. This is a true performance upgrade for the Ultra Bee and if you're building a serious bike or even doing some mild track work this is a must have for reliability.

Maintenance Notes: Bearings must be maintained periodically, EBMX would recommend removing the jackshaft and repacking with grease every 6 months, depending on use. EBMX stock all replacement parts and bearings, the jackshaft is completely serviceable and is designed to be disassembled for maintenance when required.
